May is the Perfect Time for Your Senior Portraits!

If you have been on the fence about when to schedule your senior portraits, I want you to stop scrolling right now because May is it! There is something about this month that just feels alive. The skies turn this incredible shade of blue, the light is warm and golden, and the landscape around us here in Coweta County and Fayette County absolutely explodes with color. It is honestly one of my favorite times of year to pick up my camera, and I think once you see what May has to offer, it will be yours too!

It All Starts with Red Clover

May opens with red clovers blanketing the fields and roadsides around us, and I am obsessed with them. Those rich, velvety blooms against a backdrop of green grass and blue sky? Absolutely stunning in portraits. There is a softness and a warmth to a clover field that I just cannot get enough of, and they are one of the reasons I start getting so excited when May rolls around!

Sunflower Season is Coming!

As the heat starts to creep in through the month, we get closer and closer to sunflower season and the anticipation alone is exciting! May is the perfect bridge between the soft, lush blooms of spring and the bold, golden fields of summer. If you book your session in May, you are catching nature right at the height of its beauty, and that golden sunflower energy is just around the corner!

My Favorite Hidden Pockets of Wildflowers

Okay, this is the part I get really excited about. Some of my absolute favorite portrait spots are not the big open fields and they are these tiny, tucked-away pockets of land where wildflowers just grow freely and do their thing. Purple flowers, daffodils, dandelions scattered everywhere and there is something so magical and intimate about shooting in these little hidden places. They feel personal and unexpected, and the portraits that come out of them are always some of my favorites. I love hunting them down, and I know exactly where to find them!

So Many Options Right Here at Home

One of the things I love most about shooting locally is that we do not have to go far to find something breathtaking. Coweta County and Fayette County are absolutely full of beautiful options and open fields, winding back roads, wildflower patches, and gorgeous natural light. From Newnan to Peachtree City, Senoia to Fayetteville, there is no shortage of stunning backdrops right in our own backyard. Nature is putting on a show this month, and I would love to capture it for you!

Don't Wait, May Books Fast!

If you are looking for nature to show off and provide those gorgeous pops of color in your senior portraits, May is truly the perfect time. The blue skies, the flowers, the warmth in the air and it all comes together in a way that makes every session feel special.
